Mr. Ahmed Moalin, the Director-General (DG) for the Somali Civil Aviation Authority (SCAA), paid a courtesy call on Amb. Hon. Kubai Iringo, the Kenyan Ambassador-Designate to Somalia, on 20th February 2024 at 3.00 pm. They both agreed to work closely on common goals that are mutually beneficial in the aviation space.
In his remarks, the Ambassador-Designate lauded the aeronautical authority for approving the resumption of commercial flights which commenced on 15th February 2024, as well as the subsequent approvals granted to KQ to operate under the Fifth Freedom Right and the IATA winter schedule which would allow for a morning schedule for KQ freighter.
