The Embassy is in receipt of communication from the State Department of Diaspora Affairs informing that the County Government of Meru is organizing the second edition of the Traders Empowerment Networking Expo “TENE” Festival 2026, scheduled to take place from 7th — 12th September, 2026 at Kinoru Stadium, Meru County. The festival is expected to attract between 6,000 — 12,000 participants from across the country, including entrepreneurs, investors, development institutions and diaspora businesses. Participation will be both physical and virtual.
The festival will provide a platform for business training, access to finance, innovation and digital transformation, business exhibitions, market linkages, policy engagement and investment facilitation. It will also provide an opportunity for members of the Kenyan Diaspora to establish business linkages with local entrepreneurs and enterprises, explore investment and market opportunities, exchange knowledge and identify potential areas of collaboration and partnerships.
In view of the above, the Mission encourage members of the Kenyan Diaspora Community to participate in the strengthening of Diaspora- to- Local business linkages and promoting investment and enterprise development in Kenya.
